Robusta has a strong, bold, and often more bitter flavor, with earthy and chocolatey notes. It has a full body and low acidity. Arabica, in contrast, is more aromatic, with higher acidity and complex notes of fruit, flowers, and sugar.
Robusta is prized in espresso blends for two main reasons. First, it produces a thick, stable, and long-lasting crema, which is the hallmark of a good espresso. Second, its bold flavor and high caffeine content add a powerful 'kick' and depth that cuts through milk in drinks like cappuccinos and lattes.
We grade our Robusta beans based on screen size (e.g., Screen 16, 18) and the number of defects per sample, following international grading standards. We can provide beans from Grade 1 (premium) to other grades suitable for various applications.
